FAQs - Turon Air camping tents

1.       Will the guy ropes pull it down?

The guy ropes do not pull the air poles down – Air poles are extremely sturdy.

2.       How durable are the air poles?

The air poles have a 3 layers and are not exposed, they are puncture resistant and are made of Thermoplastic Polyurethane (4 and 6 man tent poles are 100mm in diameter, 2 man tent 65mm in diameter). As long as the poles remain in their covers there is very little wear, they would require a fair amount of effort to create a puncture and would require a sharp implement. If the need shall arise, the tent does come with a repair patch – the patch can be glued over the puncture – just like a tube in a tyre.

3.       Do you have to pump it regularly?

No. As long as the screw caps are on correctly there should be no issue at all.

4.       How do I know when to stop pumping?

As the end draws near, it will become harder to pump – this is when you can slow down and assist air poles to upright position. The Turon Air 4 comes with an over pressure valve which will release air once air pole system has reached full capacity – meaning this does not allow it to over pump.

5.       How does it withstand windy/rainy conditions?

If pegged down correctly and guy ropes are used, the Air pole system can withstand high winds and heavy rain. If the wind becomes excessively strong, the tent poles will just bend down and bounce back up again as winds ease.

6.       Can an air compressor be used?

Small air compressor can blow it up however, if pressure is too high it can be over inflated – the maximum pressure for all air poles would be 4.5 psi.

7.       How long does it take to deflate and pack?

Deflation can take only a few seconds. As you fold and gently press air out, and is easily fitted into the bag – should take approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Fits into the bag with ease.

8.       Does it absorb a lot of heat?

Regarding heat, the Turon Air tents are no different to any other polyester camping tent on the market. The material used for this tent is Polyester –making it lightweight - ideal to be carried and set up by almost anyone.

9.       Will these tents leak?

No. The Turon Air Range 4 and 6 camping tents have 3000 PU Waterproofing and the Turon Air 2 has 2000 PU Waterproofing.
